I find myself lost in thought thinking about how proud I am of my 2 boys. This week I’ll be blogging about my 2 sons, Junaid and Bladen. They have recently started playing TeeBall in the under 10yr old division and yes Bladen only recently celebrated his 4th birthday.
TeeBall is a sport based on Baseball and is intended as an introduction for young players to develop baseball skills and have fun. The season kicked off 2weeks ago with a tournament where score was not kept and rules designed to maximize participation. Both of them had a great first game with Junaid hitting a homerun and Bladen believe it or not hitting a 3 bagger (ran to 3rd base). I thinks we have the next Babe Ruth in the making…
It’s really good to see my boys having so much fun and more than that I’m a part of their lives now! When I think back about 2 years ago I was just the father of these boys but now I’m their Dad. I can’t believe there was a time I thought I was better off not having my beautiful boys in my life because of my drug addiction.
My life is so different now and I can’t imagine not having “my clan” around. I absolutely love spending time with my boys and being Daddy to them and I look forward to many new adventures together.
Joel 2: 25 thus says the Lord: “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts have eaten,”
congratulations… my nephews are very close to me, recently having moved near my family it really made my feeling of family even deeper to be part of helping raise the kids… My nephews don’t have a dad, just a father, it’s awesome that you can overcome your problem to be both the father and dad in your childrens lives.
Thank you Monica. A dad is important to young boys when growing up, if their father is not part of their lives it is important for them to have a positive male influence like and uncle or a friend of the family. God bless and thank you for commenting.
I can just thank God for restoring our family. You truly are an amazing dad and husband now. Love you lots
Thank you Shameez. I love you very much my darling wife.
Amazing! It always good to hear about a father spending time and being a Daddy to his children. I here so many stories for unstablecradle.com , it is heartbreaking to know how many fathers are not there for their kids and do not care to be, much like my own. Just beautiful to here!
Hi. Thank you for reading my blog and commenting. Absent fathers are a huge sore point for me and really pray that fathers will take up there rightful place in the homes and in the children’s lives.
Thank you for encouragement. At least you will now know what not to do when you are a parent. Make yourself a promise that you will be the best parent to your children one day.
