RLabs interviews Benni McCarthy

Today Rlabs and Impact Direct had the privilege of hosting Benedict “Benni” McCarthy right here in Bridgetown. Rlabs team were on the scene ready to tweet, take pics and blog about things as they were unfolding.

“I didnt wana be a dumb celebrity therefor I went to school and educated myself” says Benni in an interview about how he rose above his circumstances growing up in Hanover Park being surrounded by gangsterism and drugs. He is a a role model to many of the youth running around in Hanover Park!

He went on to say that “its important for young people to respect and honour their elders, it will go a long way in setting you up in life.” Thank you to Benni McCarthy, South Africa’s most celebrated footballer, who put South African football on the world stage and possibly a pioneer in getting the World Cup tournament to Mzansi.
